The series of Kingdom Hearts it has been on standby for several years now, following the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 which was not followed by any updates. Therefore, if everything is silent on the videogame front, there could instead be movement regarding another type of medium to explore, that of television.
The success of TV series like The Last of Us and the recent Fallout could have pushed Square Enix to try to launch one of its flagship sagas into the fray, according to several sources reported by ComicBook.
This is not, among other things, a completely new leak: already in 2020 there was talk of an alleged one animated series on Disney+ of Kingdom Hearts and, with this new confirmation, it seems that the project has been anything but shelved.
In any case, there is very little information, but we have good hopes in the veracity of the indiscretion given the fame of the leaker who shared it. Right now, it is not clear whether it will be a TV series or even a film: to find out, unfortunately, the only thing we can do is wait for official information.
Animated series based on videogame franchises have had good success so far: let's think about LOL Arcane, Cuphead or Castlevania. This path could therefore be the right one to relaunch the Sora, Goofy and Donald Duck series.
