Germany is lagging far behind in the research and use of digital technologies compared to other countries. This is not the conclusion reached by just anyone, but by the state development bank KfW in a previously unpublished study that the FAZ has exclusively obtained. In it, KfW analyzed various indicators, including scientific publications, patent applications and IT investments – and came to sobering conclusions.
