Milan, Kalulu injury: ligament strain
Cursed season for Pierre Kalulu. Milan's French defender – sidelined for over two months due to a muscle injury (lesion of the left rectus femoris tendon suffered in Naples) – had returned to the squad at the end of February and I was finding my match rhythm again. But the match in Verona, in which Stefano Pioli had him as a starter, unfortunately brings with it a new physical problem.
Milan, when Kakulu returns to the field
Knee sprainaccording to the results of medical tests, it is a distraction of the medial collateral ligament. Surgery will not be performed, but conservative treatment will be performed: Kalulu should return to the field in about a month and a half.
He will miss the away match in Florence (30 March), the double Europa League match with Roma (11-18 April) and the matches with Lecce (7/4), in Sassuolo (14 April). It remains to be seen whether he will be available again in view of Milan-Inter on 21 April or Juve-Milan the following week.
For Kalulu, in this unfortunate and injury-plagued season, only 8 appearances in total (6 in the league, one in the Champions League when he was a starter in Milan's 2-1 victory at San Siro against PSG and one in the Europa League)
Milan-Maignan, sigh of relief
Milan also carried out instrumental tests on Mike Maignan, who had felt a leg problem after a save in the match against Verona. No injuries or other significant problems emerged for the French goalkeeper.
