The regional coordinator of Podemos in the Region is also secretary of the party’s Education area and a deputy in Congress, where he also performs the task of third secretary of the Chamber Board.
Podemos has strengthened its spokesperson area and will incorporate in this task the regional coordinator of the party in the Region of Murcia, Javier Sánchez Serna, and the deputy spokesperson of the parliamentary group in the Madrid Assembly, Alejandra Jacinto.
In this way, the party will have four co-spokespersons, since Sánchez Serna and Jacinto join the tasks that Isa Serra and the leader of Podemos in Castilla y León, Pablo Fernández, have already been deploying.
The two new spokespersons are also part of the Coordination Council, the Executive of Podemos and are positions of the highest confidence of the party’s leader, Minister Ione Belarra.
Specifically, Sánchez Serna is the secretary of the Education area of Podemos and also a deputy in Congress, where he also performs the task of third secretary of the Chamber’s Board. For his part, Jacinto joined Podemos with the candidacy led by former vice president Pablo Iglesias in the last Madrid elections on May 4. She is now the party’s head of housing and has extensive experience as an anti-eviction activist.
The Podemos Executive that left the last Assembly was set at 29 members, with 15 women and 14 men, although recently the head of Feminism, the former Secretary of State Noelia Vera, resigned from her position. The Coordination Council, also known as the Secretariat, headed by Belarra, combines renewal and continuity with respect to the Churches stage, which also includes a prominent presence of territorial leaders.
