James Webb telescope launched into space

The James Webb Space Telescope is expected to revolutionize observation of the Universe

Launched into space on James Webb space telescope. An Ariane 5 rocket took off today at 12:20 GMT from the Guyana space center to send the James Webb Space Telescope into space, an instrument that is expected to revolutionizeobservation of the Universe, heir to the more famous Hubble and the result of the collaboration between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).

The flight is expected to last 27 minutes, before the separation of the observatory which will be injected into its final orbit, at about 1.5 million km from the Earth. The James Webb should allow us to observe the first galaxies that appeared after the Big Bang but also exoplanets or the formation of stars.
