“Titanic: 25 years later with James Cameron” is the new documentary of National Geographic. Rose and Jack should have been saved together?
One of the biggest debates in movie history is about to be resolved. “Titanic: 25 years later with James Cameron” is the new National Geographic documentary in which the same director of the third highest-grossing film in history will answer the question that has troubled fans for so long: did Jack enter the table along with Rose or was his death inevitable? In this note, we tell you what it’s about, when and where to see the premiere that will revive the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
“Titanic” and the James Cameron experiment
After 25 years of listening to fans complain about Jack’s death, James Cameron himself decided to recreate the scene at the door in the middle of the sea and check once and for all if Rose could survive with her great love.

In such a way, as can be seen in the images of the talk show “Good Morning America”the director of “Avatar: the path of water” made no less than three tests to check if what the fans were asking for was actually possible.
In the first test, which consisted of putting two actors on the door, he verified that Jack and Rose would end up “submerged in dangerous levels of freezing water”.
In the second, he repeated the scenario, but with the specialists restrained so that their vital organs did not touch the water. In this scenario, Cameron saw that shaking Jack’s body could have saved him. “for quite some time, like for hours”.
And, for the third, the director completely recreated the moments before the scene in which both characters fall from the boat into the water and fight to survive. After performing all the movements as in the movie, the verdict was that “I could have survived until the lifeboat arrived”James pointed out. However, he also added that “there are many variables.”
Likewise, Cameron highlighted that, from Jack Dawson’s point of view, the thought of this character would have been to go for the safest option, since it would not do “nothing that would put her in danger”.
When and where does it premiere?
“Titanic: 25 years later” will premiere through the National Geographic channel next Sunday, February 5. The documentary will cover more about this controversial scene and various unknown details from the film and the true story behind it.
Likewise, the 4K and 3D remastered version of “Titanic” will hit theaters this February 9 in an event that seeks to revive the excitement of fans who saw this film released more than 20 years ago.
