This new road will not only improve the connectivity between the Huasteca Potosina and neighboring states, but will also open new opportunities for tourism and economic development in the region.

The government of San Luis Potosí has ​​announced the start of the construction of a new boulevard in Ebonybacked by an investment of 200 million pesos, which will serve as the main access to the Huasteca from Tamaulipas and Veracruz.

In addition, the completion of the highway that connects Tanquián with Saint Vincentwith an investment of 250 million pesos, significantly improve connectivity from San Martín Chalchicuautla to the road that leads to Tampico.

Currently, Huasteca Potosina is connected to the main cities of the country through four important highways:

– Federal Highway 85 Mexico – Nuevo Laredo

– Federal Highway 70 San Luis Potosí – Tampico

– The Ciudad del Maíz – Antiguo Morelos section of Federal Highway 80.

Traveling from Xalapa, Veracruz, to Huasteca Potosina involves a journey of more than seven hours through the Mexico – Querétaro highway, according to Google Maps.

Meanwhile, from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, the trip to Huasteca lasts almost four hours, passing through the Ciudad Victoria – Tula/México 101 and Matehuala – San Luis highway.

Therefore, if the new highway is completed, trips to Huasteca Potosina from Tamaulipas and Veracruz will be speeded up.
