At least thirty Palestinian civilians have died and more than 70 have been injured as a result of a new air attack of Israel against the Yabalia refugee camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip Loop.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have bombed several houses near the Nassar crossing, which has killed 33 people, including 21 women, according to the Palestinian news agency, citing medical sources from Al Awda Hospital, located in the camp.
Medical sources in the area have warned of the high risk that those injured in this latest attack will die from the inability to receive medical treatment or intervention any, given the insufficiency of the health network in the Northern Governorate, which “has been under Israeli destruction and annihilation for 15 days.”
At least 42,500 people have died in the Gaza Strip, victims of the military offensive launched by Israel more than a year ago, in response to the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7, which left some 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped. Among the dead is the main leader of the Islamist group, Yahya Sinwardied during a combat with the Israeli Army. After his death, the international community hopes that dialogue will now be resumed for a ceasefire that will allow, among other things, the release of the hostages still held captive in the Strip and the entry of humanitarian aid.
