During the evening, the Terme di Diocleziano, recently reopened to the public after extensive restoration work, hosted a spectacular jewelry parade that took place in the Chiostro Ludovisi, an intimate space built over the Terme’s large outdoor pool. With styling by Carine Roitfeld, the show featured a luxury cast: Mariacarla Boscono, Blesnya Minher, Elisabetta Dessy, Isabella Rossellini, Carla Bruni and Giacomo Cavalli.
Before the show began, guests had the opportunity to attend a special and poetic duet performed by the choreographer and dancer Sadeck Berrabah and the ballet dancer Eleonora Abbagnato, director of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. At the Chiostro di Michelangelo in the Baths, named after the famous painter and sculptor to whom it is traditionally attributed, Bvlgari delighted its guests with a gala dinner conceived by Michelin-starred Italian chef Massimiliano Alajmo, who prepared a menu specially designed for the event.
After dinner, internationally famous artist and composer Elisa performed live.
For the occasion, the Fondazione Bvlgari has donated to the city of Rome “Vista Aeterna”, an immersive installation created by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis. The work will be in the emblematic Piazza di Spagna from May 19 to June 15 and offers a contemporary interpretation of Rome’s urban landscape. It consists of twelve travertine pillars adorned with reflective colored mirrors that rotate continuously throughout the day, following the path of the sun from sunrise to sunset. As they move, they capture and refract sunlight, projecting a spectrum of warm, sun-inspired tones onto the surroundings. It is a perpetual celebration of the luminosity of the eternal city and its architectural heritage.
