iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max could have even thinner bezels

According to the latest rumors, Apple is ready to take a further leap forward with the new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, reducing the bezels by up to 40% compared to previous models. This change would not only improve the aesthetic appearance, but it would also enhance the screen-body relationshipmaking the devices more manageable and comfortable to use.

A clean cut of the iPhone frame

The reduction of the bezels in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max would be possible thanks to theadoption of the new Border Reduction Structure technology. The new models are expected to feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes respectively, which represents a significant increase over previous years and marks the first time Apple has increased the panel size in this way.

Let us remember that the previous smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, had 6.1 and 6.7 inches respectively: if this choice of reduction of the frames were confirmed, the space occupied would be reduced leaving more margin for the actual screen, a logical move which would lead to the aforementioned 0.2 inch increase per device.

Will the price remain the same?

Although the adoption of this new technology may imply an increase in production costs, it is not yet clear whether this will translate into a increase in retail prices for the new models. In the past, there has been talk several times about a possible price increase for previous models, but these predictions never materialized.
