The Action button, previously exclusive to the Pro models, is now available on iPhone 16, replacing the legacy Ring/Silent switch. Users can configure it to perform a variety of actions. At the heart of iPhone 16 is the A18 chip, which is up to 30 percent faster than the A16 Bionic in iPhone 15.

Apple is going all-in on Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI features that run on-device using the A18 and in the cloud using Apple’s Private Cloud Compute infrastructure. Apple also announced expanded language support for Apple Intelligence, starting with American English, with additional English dialects coming in December and more languages ​​next year.
