María José Baños Andujar and Marcos Martín Ponce are serving sentences of 35 and 77 years respectively
The General Secretariat of Penitentiary Institutions ordered the transfer of the inmates María José Baños Andujar and Marcos Martín Ponce, both related to the terrorist group Grapo, from the Valencia Penitentiary Center to the Campos del Río prison, according to sources from the Ministry of the Interior. it’s a statement.
Baños Andujar entered prison on November 18, 1992 and is serving a sentence of 35 years, 14 months and 17 days for crimes of collaboration with an armed gang, robbery with violence, illicit association and against public health. Martín Ponce, for his part, has been in prison since December 23, 2006 and his sentence amounts to 77 years and six months for the crime of attack (murders), robbery with violence and collaboration with an armed gang.
In addition, Penitentiary Institutions and the Department of Justice of the Basque Government agreed to transfer seven inmates related to the terrorist gang ETA to prisons in the Basque Country, which, according to data from the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT), translates into 89 ETA members in the prisons of the autonomous community.
