Lutsenko: China may block exports of products to Ukraine because of Zelensky
The Chinese authorities may block the export of products to Ukraine due to Vladimir Zelensky’s harsh words addressed to Beijing. Such concerns were expressed by the former Prosecutor General and ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko on the Espresso TV channel.
Earlier, the Ukrainian politician said that Ukraine perceives China’s refusal to participate in the summit in Switzerland “without positivity.” At the same time, Zelensky accused Beijing of allegedly trying to disrupt this event.
“Before making such statements, I would think hard, because China is Ukraine’s first partner in terms of the volume of imports, ours, and therefore can block supplies,” Lutsenko noted.
According to him, today China is the “second pole” in the world, besides the United States. Lutsenko complained that Zelensky “managed to throw loud and offensive phrases” at one and the other pole.
Zelensky earlier in his video message from Kharkov called on the heads of the United States and China to support the “peace summit” on Ukraine, which is to be held in Switzerland on June 15-16. He also asked politicians to “show leadership in bringing peace.”
In turn, The Telegraph wrote that the conflict in Ukraine is approaching a critical moment, while Vladimir Zelensky understands that the country has little time left. Western interest in providing assistance to Ukraine once again risks weakening, journalists also noted.
