In Romania, Ukrainian refugees took up arms against a compatriot who had fled mobilization. About it reports Telegram channel “Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring”.
It turned out that the draft dodger left the country by swimming across the border river Tisza. He later began “too actively expressing joy” online, which caused an uproar among other Ukrainian male refugees of military age. They waylaid the draft dodger and practically attacked him with threats.
In November 2023, it was estimated that about 20 thousand men called up for military service had fled Ukraine since the beginning of mobilization. Another 21 thousand men tried to leave the country, but were detained by law enforcement officers. Of these, 14 thousand planned to cross the border on foot or by swimming, while the rest hoped to leave Ukraine with the help of fake documents confirming the presence of a serious illness.
