The city has a Ukrainian military base, making it a target for Russian military forces. However, in the most recent statements, President Vladimir Putin denied that civilians were being bombed or in areas that could endanger the lives of minors.
Oleg, who recovered the body of his wife of 29 years, Katia Rubak, said desperately that he wishes she could have entered heaven. With the impact of the missile he was separated from his daughter, whom he found motionless near the rubble of his house. He was afraid that she had died, but when he touched her, his daughter began to cry.
