While the sky threatens new storms throughout the weekend and the situation is still far from calming down, Hundreds, thousands of Valencians have decided to contribute their grain of sand to the tragedy that has devastated his life.
For this reason, throughout this Monday morning, many people have decided to go to the damaged areas to lend a hand in whatever is needed. And they have done it by moving as best they can, given the circumstances: by car, scooter, bike or directly on foot. This was the case of María, heading to L’Horta Sud: “I bring non-perishable foodany help right now is little.”
The number of volunteers is so huge that at some points There was almost no homework for everyone and they had to be organized. The priority now, apart from the search for survivors, is to help clean, clear debris and reestablish as much as possible what life was like before the tragedy: “This will take a long time, but we can help something”another of these volunteers, equipped with a shovel and a rake, said on television.
And the situation in some parts of the region is so devastating, and access to aid is so complicated, that in many of these places the neighbors themselves are the true guardian angels who have been in charge of all the help during these first hours that have followed the drama. The flood of solidarity has no end.
