A thousand Valencian fans protested on Monday night at the gates of Mestalla, in front of the exit of the stadium box, surrounded by a police cordon, after the 2-3 defeat against The Palms. The majority cries were directed against Peter Limowner of a Valencia team that, after this result, occupies the last place in the First Division classification.
The anger increased and the National Police ended up charging against those surrounding the exit of the box on Sweden Street in Valencia, which caused races and scenes of tension. In their escape, some radical fans burned several containers in the streets near the stadium.
The Valencia fans, who had already gathered before the game to denounce “Lim’s tyranny”, protested against the management of Meriton Holdingsthe company that owns the team, which accumulates six points in the first ten days of the League after losing against the Canarian team – which was bottom when it arrived at Mestalla – and accumulating eight consecutive days in relegation.
Among the different banners you can read:
“Honor to every bat that fights for our shield”
“We will get you out of Mestalla”
