Hossam Hassan, Al-Ahly’s striker, participated in the team’s group training, which took place today, “Sunday” at the cricket stadium in Abu Dhabi, after the player underwent a medical test before the start of the training, to check on his recovery from a muscle strain in his calf and his readiness to participate in the team’s group training.
Hossam Hassan participated for the first time in Al-Ahly’s collective training sessions in full, after recovering from “tightening the calf muscle”.
Al-Ahly’s technical staff was keen to resume the team’s training today without rest, in preparation for the semi-final match of the Club World Cup.
Al-Ahly beat Monterrey, the Mexican champion of “CONCACAF”, with a goal by Mohamed Hani, in the match that was held on Saturday at Al Nahyan Stadium, in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, to set up a date with the Brazilian team Palmeiras in the match scheduled for next Tuesday evening.
Al-Ahly faced Palmeiras in the last edition of the Club World Cup, and won it on penalties from the penalty spot, to win the bronze medal for the second time in the tournament.
