Hennessey pumps up the Ford F-150 Raptor R to 1,000 hp

With 450 hp, the F-150 Raptor is not exactly a weakling. Earlier, Shelby tackled this V6 pickup by giving it 75 horsepower more. Then came the Raptor R, which got the V8 from a Shelby Mustang GT500. The engine is good for 700 hp. Now Hennessey is adding a lot of power to that by giving the V8 more than 1,000 horsepower. The name of the pickup is therefore the Velociraptor 1000.

Hennessey sure knows how to handle this V8 engine. They tackled the GT500 and gave it a terrifying 1,200 horsepower. Now it’s the pick-up’s turn for a considerable increase in power. Hennessey achieves this by replacing the standard 2.65-liter supercharger with a 3.8-liter one. In addition to the 1,000 hp, Hennessey also gets 1,152 Nm of torque.

“The Velociraptor 1000 raises the power bar particularly in raw power. Add to that the signature supercharger and signature flat-crank V8 exhaust note and the package is unbeatable,” said CEO John Hennessey. In addition to the engine, Hennessey will also work on the exterior.

From the outside you can see new bumpers on the front and rear. There is also a light box on top. Hennessey’s Ford F-150 Raptor R sits on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires. According to Hennessey, that “adds to the presence on the road.” We expect you to stand out even without those tires. It will come in 2023. What you pay for it is not yet known.
