Youssef Mirza, the star of the UAE cycling team, won the gold medal in the individual race against the clock in the third combined Arab championship competitions hosted by the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of 17 Arab countries. Bronze, 7 gold ahead of the Algerian team, which won 12 colored medals.
Youssef Mirza won the gold in the race that took place in the city of Kalba, in which 16 players participated, including Saif Mayouf, the player of our national team. Iraq won the gold and silver medals, and Saudi Arabia came in third place. The sixth day of the championship will witness three strong races, which are women’s singles, general singles, youth singles, and females’ singles, in Nizwa, Sharjah.
The competitions and honoring of the winners were attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Cycling Federation, Princess Mashael bint Faisal Al Saud, Chair of the Women’s Committee of the Saudi and Arab Cycling Federation, Mansour Bu Osaiba, President of the UAE Cycling Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Championship, and Abdul Malik Jani, Vice President of the Council Sharjah Athlete, Yasser Al Dokhi, Championship Director, Chancellor Omar Bin Hanifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kalba Union Club, and a large number of members of the Arab Cycling Federation.
