Chihuahua.- A man was executed on Thursday afternoon in the south of the city, where a strong police operation was deployed.
According to initial reports, the young man arrived at an electrical workshop located on Fuentes Mares Avenue at the intersection with Ojinaga Street, in the city of Chihuahua, where minutes later armed subjects arrived and shot him at least five times.
The victim, approximately 25 years old, was seriously injured, so 911 was called for help.
Minutes later, municipal police and paramedics arrived at the scene and tried to provide first aid to the injured person, who died minutes later as a result of injuries caused by the firearm projectile.
The area was secured by elements of the State Attorney General’s Office, since at least five spent 9 mm caliber shells were found there.
According to unofficial sources, the victim had recently left the Aquiles Serdán prison.
This brings the number of homicides in the city of Chihuahua to 10 so far this month.
