Rome – Matteo Berrettini qualified for the round of 16 of the Halle tournament, in Germany, beating the 19-year-old American Alex Michelsen in two sets, with a score of 7-6, 6-2.
The Roman was supposed to play the match yesterday, which was eventually postponed due to bad weather, getting an extra day of rest after playing the final in Stuttgart last Sunday. Tomorrow, Berrettini will face another American, Marcos Gironcapable of eliminating the Russian Andrey Rublev, number 4 in the world, on his debut.
