During the NVIDIA conference at CES 2024, a new trailer Of Half-Life 2 RTX, remastered version of the game, designed to take advantage of all the latest graphics technologies from the GeForce card manufacturer. Unfortunately none were shared release date.
The trailer
Half-Life 2 RTX was announced at Gamescom last year. NVIDIA is working on it together with some members of the community. It will support ray tracing, Nvidia Reflex, RTX IO and DLSS 3. The remaster was built using RTX Remix, a modder tool announced by NVIDIA in 2022 and launched in beta last month. In the trailer we can see how the game looks after applying NVIDIA's graphics technologies.
In reality Half-Life 2 RTX is the third game made with this technology, after Portal RTX and Portal: Prelude RTX.
We don't think Half-Life 2 itself needs any introduction, considering it is one of the most influential FPS ever.
