How was the art book planned? Attack on Titan It is already on sale in Japan. This includes not only a new story about Levi Ackerman, but also an interview with Hajime Isayama, where he reveals his interest in finishing the series.
For those not in the know, a few years before the manga ended, its creator said time and time again that he wanted to conclude the story. But for one reason or another he couldn’t do it and that stressed him out a lot.
Isayama is not the first mangaka to want to finish his work and cannot do so. The same thing is happening right now to Kohei Horikoshi, author of My Hero Academia.
We recommend: Attack on Titan: They find use of the cover of the game Total War Empire within the anime.
But back to the creator of Attack on Titan, his comments reflect how worried he was. According to Hajime Isayama ‘the desire to conclude the story was constantly on my mind’. So it was something he couldn’t get rid of and it harassed him insistently.
Isayama highlighted ‘I was also at the height of exhaustion from drawing chapter after chapter and I wanted it to end, but I knew I wouldn’t do it until I completed it, so I continued drawing just out of that obsession to finish’.
So it was only thanks to his willpower that he managed to complete what is considered his greatest work. Of course, that is for the moment, since he works on other projects although for now only as a writer.
Attack on Titan: Flythe art book for the series, went on sale in Japan on April 30, 2024. It has 200 full-color pages and the illustrations are by Hajime Isayama himself.
As we mentioned before, it also brings a story focused on Levi. So far there is no announcement about the location of this work.
In that sense, we can only wait, but it is likely that a publisher will be interested in bringing this book to America and Europe.
