The world of anime always tries to adapt experiences that come from the printed parts of Japanese comics, manga, but sometimes there are stories that go beyond that, so sometimes they make animations that deal with real life events, as was the case with the explosions in Hiroshima. And now, it is revealed that there will be one inspired by a local story, and it is one of those that has touched the world the most, to the point that there is a film that is adapted to the Western market.
We talk about neither more nor less than Hachikoa purebred dog Akita Inu who lived in a town in Japan next to his master Eisaburo Ueno, who unfortunately died on one of his trips to work, and that no one in the community had the hint to make him understand that something happened to his existence. Reason why for nine years the dog was traveling to the train station where he always waited for him when he arrived from work, until eventually the pet also passed on to a better life.
To pay tribute to this story that is almost 100 years old, it has been decided to create an anime adaptation called Shibuya Hachiwhich will not take long to be shown on the television network of TV Tokyo, with the premiere scheduled for April of this year. The best thing is that it wouldn't take long for it to also be released on anime streaming services. Of course, there are no trailers for this series yet.
Here is a more specific description of this story:
Hachiko was an Akita breed dog that became famous in Japan for his loyalty and devotion to his owner. Hachiko's story took place in the 1920s in Tokyo, Japan.
Hachiko's owner, Professor Hidesaburo Ueno, was an academic at the University of Tokyo. Every day, Hachiko accompanied her owner to the Shibuya train station, and then returned to the station in the afternoon to wait for her return.
Hachiko's tragic story became known worldwide when its owner, Professor Ueno, died suddenly at work and never returned to the train station. Despite the death of her owner, Hachiko continued to go to the Shibuya train station every day for almost a decade, waiting for the return of her beloved owner.
For now, we will have to wait until they reveal the premiere in question.

Editor's note: It is definitely one of the saddest stories in the world, and for that reason a more modern adaptation must be seen, especially to raise awareness about the care of pets. We will be watching this anime in the coming months.
