Erling Braut Haaland is, without a doubt, one of the most prolific strikers and one of the most promising players in the world. The 21-year-old Norwegian attacker has had a superlative performance with Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund and this summer he will make a leap to the big leagues. According to the most recent reports, the footballer would have already decided on his next destination: Manchester City.
A report from The Athletic portal revealed that this week the signing of Haaland by the Citizens will be announced, “barring any expected delay.” According to this report, the Norwegian footballer and the team led by Pep Guardiola agreed on the terms of his contract in April and after the striker agreed, the two clubs involved, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, began negotiations.
The Athletic report indicates that the relationship between the two clubs is cordial and that Man City agreed to pay the Norwegian’s termination clause, which amounts to a figure greater than 75 million euros, without taking into account the commissions agents and intermediaries in the operation.
In recent months, Haaland’s name has been widely used to reach clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona, however, the 21-year-old striker opted for the offer from Manchester City.
The Norwegian striker, who played for Bryne FK and Molde in his country and Austrian Salzburg, arrived at Borussia Dortmund in January 2020. He has made 88 appearances for the German club and has scored an astonishing 85 goals.
