Back to Brazil
Formula E, after the first round of the season in Mexico City, is ready to make its return to the American continent for fourth E-Prix of the world championship. Following the double-header held in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, the 100% electric single-seater championship will arrive in Brazil this weekend for the second edition of theSao Paulo E-Prix.
What the 'Trident' looks like
An event at which the Maserati comes with the clear intention of improving its ranking situation with just under two months to go until the last round. At this moment, in fact, the Modena company is at the8th place of the ranking Builderswith 20 points total obtained. All of these solely thanks to top ten finishes by Maximilian Güntherwho after the near podium in Mexico also finished in the points in the two Saudi races, first in seventh position and subsequently in ninth.
Positive climate
In this way, the German pilot now appears in provisional sixth positionjust one distance from the top-5 but 37 points behind leader Nick Cassidy: “I am very satisfied with how we have started this season and I can't wait to start racing again in Sao Paulo – he declared on the eve of the Brazilian stage – Consistently achieving top 10 finishes is extremely important in Formula E, and by maximizing every opportunity we've had, that's exactly what we've managed to do so far this season. The dynamics, morale and spirit of the team right now are high and I believe that with our package we are in a competitive position. I enjoyed racing in Sao Paulo in Season 9 and felt good from the first lap. I think this weekend has an exciting race in store for us and I can't wait to see what we can do.”
Not an ideal stopover
Different story for Jehan Daruvalastill without points in his first season in Formula E. The Indian did not go beyond 16th place in Mexico, then obtaining a twentieth position in Race 1 in Diriyah and finishing the test early in the second race: “I'm looking forward to racing in Brazil, especially after the break we had after Diriyah – explained the 25-year-old, called up this year to replace Edoardo Mortara – being the only rookie on the starting grid for Season 10, I think the interval between one match and another was not ideal, simply because I want to drive the car as often as possible to continue gaining experience. But it was good to rest a bit and spend time with the family, especially before facing a series of very intense races. The season so far for me has been about learning and I'm excited to continue this journey. I had a promising weekend in Diriyah and came close to scoring my first points in Formula E, so I hope we can build on that experience this weekend.” So the appointment will be at 6pm Italian time on Saturday, when the green lights will come on for the Sao Paulo E-Prix.
