Lamborghini will supply the Safety Car and Leading Car to GT World Challenge Europe for the 2024 season.
The Sant'Agata Bolognese company has in fact signed a new collaboration agreement with SRO Motorsports Group, taking over from Audi Sport, for the presence on the track with service cars during this year's events.
The Huracán Tecnica with 630 HP V10 engine have arrived from Toro, ready to make their debut this weekend at Paul Ricard, where the first Endurance Cup race is scheduled in which we will see the Emilian vehicles in action.
Lamborghini will also provide Urus models for a Course Car, a medical car and a second Safety Car at the 24h of Spa on 26-30 June, which will celebrate its Centenary in 2024.
Furthermore, as already known from the calendar, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa will be staged as a support event for the Endurance and Sprint races at Nürburgring and Barcelona.
“I am thrilled to announce that Lamborghini is the new supplier of the Safety Car and Leading Car for the GTWC Europe and the 24 Hours of Spa,” said series founder, Stéphane Ratel.
“SRO has a long-standing relationship with Lamborghini, so it was natural to hire this associate to fill this important role.”
“Having worked together for many years, we know and trust each other, so I am sure it will be a successful collaboration.”
