Mattia Drudi's new adventure as an official Aston Martin Racing driver will see him tackle the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe season with Comtoyou Racing.
The Belgian team has in fact begun collaboration with the English brand, which the Romagna native joined once the relationship with Audi Sport ended. Awaiting him is the Vantage GT3 which in the Endurance Cup he will share with the Danish duo Nicki Thiim-Marco Sørensen to make an assault on success in the PRO Class.
The experience of the latter will be fundamental for the young Italian driver, given that his teammates have been in the AMR family for years and have contributed to the development of the Evo version of the Vantage GT3.
“I can't wait to start my first season as an official Aston Martin Racing driver and sharing the car with such fast and experienced teammates like Nicki and Marco is an honour,” said Drudi.
“In 2023 I witnessed Comtoyou's GT debut as an opponent and they immediately demonstrated their potential. With the new Vantage I believe we can have great ambitions.”
Thiim adds: “I am delighted to participate in this championship, which is undoubtedly the toughest in the world of GT3 racing, with a large number of crews made up of factory drivers. The Comtoyou Racing team has motivated me enormously and I can't wait to start the season with them.”
Sørensen echoes this: “With the arrival of the new car, we all have a lot to learn: the team, the engineers, the drivers and so on. But I'm sure we will all have fun working together. Comtoyou has already demonstrated its qualities as a team and we are very motivated.”

Team Principal, Jean-Michel Baert, appears ambitious: “As a Belgian team, it is clear that the 24h of Spa was one of the reasons why we decided to enter the GT category. To be able to participate in the Centenary edition with Aston Martin it's a source of pride and knowing that we will do it with such a prestigious driver line-up, fully capable of aiming for victory, further strengthens our motivation!”
The Team Manager, François Verbist, instead took stock of the situation, given that Comtoyou will also be involved in the Sprint Cup: “We are still discussing to define our crews. We have many contacts and we are still open to last minute negotiations. The Our objective is clear: to put together the best crews possible, also taking into account the constraints that a team like ours has to face.”
