“I think this is the new Dreyfus case. I am not a traitor, not a spy or a traitor, I am a Russian engineer. By his work, he has repeatedly proved his usefulness and loyalty to his homeland. I very much ask my President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to allow me to be under house arrest with maximum restrictions during the investigation, ”the letter says.
Sachkov, accused of high treason, has already complained about the conditions in the pre-trial detention center. According to him, newspapers do not reach him, he was deprived of television and the ability to send and receive letters.
As previously reported, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow extended the term of Sachkov’s detention; a preventive measure in the form of arrest was established until February 28, 2022.
According to the investigation, Sachkov worked for foreign special services and passed them data that constitutes a state secret in the field of cybersecurity. The founder of Group-IB himself does not admit his guilt.
