Grounded is expected to be released for good this year.
Obsidian Entertainment announced that Grounded has officially reached i 10 million players, an incredible milestone considering the game is practically still in Early Access. Director Adam Brennecke spoke in a video titled “Achievement Unlocked for 10 Million Grounded Players”.
Grounded originally launched in Early Access on Xbox One and PC in July 2020, becoming available in Early Access for Xbox Series X / S on November 10, 2020. The game belongs to the survival genre that shrunken players must navigate amidst the dangers of a courtyard full of ants, spiders and other menacing creatures.
In Brennecke’s message, the game director revealed that “As part of celebrating this grand milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without all of you, the team is organizing Grounded for a free Steam weekend! From February 10th through February 13th, new players can try Grounded and check out the latest update, Into the Wood, during the free weekend. Also, don’t forget that the survival game supports crossplay so Steam players can easily play with those who log into Grounded via Game Pass“.
AND GUESS WHAT? For this weekend only, Grounded will be free on Steam starting NOW and ending 2/13 @ 8 pm PT!
So if you’ve ever wanted to check Grounded out or have been trying to convince your friends to play with you, this is the perfect weekend!https://t.co/TxfjFO7MJc pic.twitter.com/0eHzJOkLA1
