God of War of 2018 has been a topic of discussion for a very long time: we have seen him win the GOTY, create a crazy hype around the release of the sequel, but this time we are not talking about anything like that, but a its demake version.
This demake shows us what it would have been like God of War in the 64 Bits imaginary: yes go back 20 years, from 2018 to 1998, to the period of the first PlayStation. Inspiration drawn from the greats classic role-playing games of the time it is clear: in fact, you can already see from the shots alone how the basic idea was taken from Final Fantasy, in particular the famous seventh chapter.
The template used to make the product is Breath of Fire 4, and in the video shown we can see various scenes taken from the hypothetical title: loading screen, main menu, portions of cinematics and gameplay “captured in game”.
We can in fact witness a scene where Kratos, Atreus and Mimir are organizing themselves while they are on the boat, only to be engaged in a fight against a draugr, a nightmare and an ogre, in full turn-based RPG style.
In fact, it should be noted that each character has one own Health Point bar, an image depicting the character’s face and the Mana (or Skill) points next to it. At the top instead we have the enemies, each with the amount of remaining Health Points. Atreus will also perform in one special move with his bow, very Limit Break style, ending the fight.
And speaking of imagining God of War on other platforms, we remind you that this will come on PC early next year, implementing all those functions that, if done carefully, can make the game even more stunning from a graphical point of view than it already was.
