Steve Kerr, 56, is the new coach of Team USA: the current leader of the Golden State Warriors (where he will remain), he succeeds Gregg Popovich and will lead the American team at the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Olympics. His staff will include excellent assistants such as Monty Williams, Erik Spoelstra and Gonzaga head coach Mark Few.

As a player, Kerr won three rings with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls (1996, 1997, 1998) and two with the San Antonio Spurs (1999, 2003) coached by Popovich. As coach of the Warriors, however, he hit the ring in 2015, 2017 and 2018. The choice of Kerr was wanted by Grant Hill, new head of the national team of stars and stripes, the officialization of the news was given by agency representing Kerr (Priority Sports).
