Giulia Cecchettin died last evening 11 November. She had gone out with Filippo Turetta to go and buy her dress for her graduation, but she never arrived at this very important moment in her life. This is because that same one was her, perhaps after refusing to get back together with her ex-boyfriend, he has put an end to his life.

From that evening and for 7 long days everyone hoped to be able to find safe and sound. However, it was in the late morning of Saturday 18 November that volunteers found the lifeless body of the 22-year-old, hidden in a small crack, in the wooded area, which is located near Lake Barcis. That same evening, Filippo Turetta was instead arrested while he was on the highway near the city of Lypsia. He was stopped on the emergency lane after he ran out of gas.

In my book I never mentioned Turetta. We spoke to her parents a couple of times, the last time at Christmas. I renew my support for them, they too are experiencing a drama. I never mentioned the name of whoever ended her life, because I wanted to focus on her.
