Giovanni di Pillo “The Voice” died in Florence on 13 October 2022 after a long illness at the age of 67. He was a pilot but above all a great one commentator of motorcycle racing and has linked his voice to the Superbike. Giovanni di Pillo nicknamed “The Voice”, died in Florence, at the Careggi Hospital where he had been hospitalized for some time, where he fought against a cardiovascular disease. In the world of motorcycling he is a mythical figure having started very early to tell this sport, which has always been his greatest passion.
He was a pilot, a medical student and finally Journalist with the aim of telling motorcycle races in his own way.

His unforgettable commentaries began in the Nineties in Superbike, a competition that di Pillo had seen born in 1988. His voice on Telemontecarlo first, on La7 then and finally on Eurosport accompanied the victories Giancarlo Falappa, Noriyuki Haga, Troy Corser, Troy Bayliss and Max Biaggi.
It was also the official voice, lo speaker of the Mugello circuit and commentator of various motocross and Supercross events, of the Italian Superturismo car championship. Giovanni di Pillo also held the role of director of the TV station Nuvolari and was radio sent for Radio 105 And Virgin Radio.
