Tonight as a guest at Che Tempo che Fa, Gino Cecchettin will present his novel in honor of his daughter Giulia
When we find ourselves having to deal with bereavement we all react differently and no one can be defined as wrong. In any case, many people decide to remember their loved one by dedicating a memory to her, just as she decided to do Gino Cecchettinfather of Giulia, who lost his life on 11 November 2023. The man decided to honor his daughter's memory by writing a book, drawing attention to a topic of feminicide and gender violence.
We all remember well what happened on November 11, 2023, the day Giulia Cecchetin disappeared. On November 18th her body was found lifeless by the dog team Civil Protection of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Filippo Turetta, arrested in Germany after attempting to escape, was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend. After this terrible gesture, there were many demonstrations in favor of women and their freedom. This evening Giulia's father, Gino Cecchettinwill be a guest of Fabio Fazio on “Che Tempo che Fa” to discuss this important topic.
Gino Chechettin will bring his own to the program novel, dedicated to his daughter Giulia. The book, published by Rizzoli, will be published on March 5th, with the title “Dear Giulia. What I learned from my daughter” . It is a collection of all the words that this father would have liked to say to his little girl. In the book the man also talks about the pain he felt after losing Monica in 2022, wife and mother of their three children. Gino Cecchetin talking about his beloved wife writes:
“Monica taught me what true love was when she got sick. The first time in 2016 we fought together and we did it. But the second time, in 2019, was fatal. Evil had now invaded everything. It tormented her to think that she was making us suffer with her illness, and she would have wanted to defend us with all her strength.”
After the memorial degree in biomedical engineering obtained by his daughter, Giulia Cecchettin, this Sunday in #CTCF on the Nove we will have Gino Cecchettin back with the book “Dear Giulia. What I learned from my daughter”, to address the issue of victims of gender violence. pic.twitter.com/dufOSzJONP

He continues talking about his daughter Giuliadedicating sweet and loving words to her and writes:
“If I think about it, towards you I have this attitude of remembering you with a smile, it started before, because you were an intimately funny person, and David and Elena every now and then remember you while you were performing in one of your comedy skits, or one of your ballets .”
These are the words of a father who had to face a huge loss. His little girl was taken away from him only because she decided to be free. She is free to study, to live and even to leave a person with whom she was no longer happy. Exactly this one freedom you want to be a spokesperson Gino Cecchettintogether with their children Elena and David.
