It comes from Sony Pictures on new trailer Of Ghostbusters: Glacial Menacethe new film in the famous film series that continues the story started with Afterlife, considered the official sequel to the two original films, also announcing the release date.
Ghostbusters: Ice Age Menace will therefore arrive onApril 11, 2024 exclusively at the cinema, at least as far as the launch is concerned.
In the video we see the Spengler family in New York City, where life is suddenly turned upside down by the arrival of a new, indeed “glacial” threat.
An “ancient artifact” unleashes an “evil force” that throws the world into total chaos and it will be up to the Spengler family to revive the tradition of the Ghostbusters by returning right where it all began: the iconic New York fire station.
Between new and original cast
However, the Ghostbusters are also there to help them originalswho we had already seen appear in the previous film, played by the legendary Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd (Harold Ramis died in 2014 but there are references to him in the trailer, so his presence in some “form” is probable).
The other members of cast they are Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O'Connor, Logan Kim and Annie Potts. The direction is entrusted to Gil Kenan, from a screenplay written by him together with Jason Reitman.
Previously we saw that the film wants to “create a completely new mythology”, and the enemy that appears in this trailer actually represents something new.
