German Defense Minister Pistorius called on Germans to be ready for war by 2029
The head of the German Ministry of Defense (MoD), Boris Pistorius, called on Germans to take measures to be ready for a possible war by 2029. His words are quoted by the publication Focus.
“We must be ready for war by 2029,” said the head of the German defense department.
The key points in preparation will be personnel, equipment and finance, Pistorius emphasized. He also noted that the return of military service will increase the combat effectiveness of German military personnel.
Earlier, Defense Minister Pistorius said that Germany has no plans to send German soldiers to Ukraine. He added that other European Union countries also did not inform Berlin about plans to send their troops to the combat zone.
