Although George Lucas sold Lucasfilms, and with it Star Wars, to Disney in 2012, the person in charge of this very, very distant universe still has a series of opinions regarding the new movies and series that we have seen in recent years. Now, thanks to the book The Art of the Mandalorian Season Two, we know what was the biggest concern that Lucas had regarding Baby Yoda.
In this book, Dave Filoni, producer and creator of The Mandalorianrevealed that George Lucas was concerned about the participation and weight that Grogu would have in the series. Fortunately, the one also responsible for Clone Wars took these comments, and worked on them. This was what he commented:
“I had a conversation with George, at one point, about Baby Yoda, and his main concern was that he should have an adequate amount of training.”
Although during the first season of The Mandalorian Baby Yoda’s training wasn’t such a big deal, the second season took us little by little through the teachings of the Jedi, something that culminated in the sixth episode of The Book of Boba Fettwhere we saw Luke Skywalker train Grogu.
On related topics, the third season of The Mandalorian It would arrive at the end of this year. In the same way, supposed gameplay of a game of The Mandalorian.
Editor’s Note:
Although the relationship between Grogu and the force is something that we have seen throughout the series, it is the relationship between Baby Yoda and Din that has really created a story that is capable of connecting with all people. Let’s hope the Star Wars universe continues to find a balance between these two ideas.
