Journalist Tom Warren of The Verge seems to have revealed the year Gear of War: E-Day was released, a title just presented at the Xbox Showcase. According to the information he has, it should be 2025. That is, The Coalition aims to launch it by 2025, but last-minute postponements are not excluded. After all, we are talking about a large production, so some potential problems must always be taken into account.
Rich year
In short, it seems that Xbox studios will make 2025 a truly rich year, after a 2024 already full of releases. In addition to the new Gears of War they should in fact arrive on the market at least Fable and Doom: The Dark Ages (about which you can read our special). Maybe there will also be room for Clockwork Revolution, certainly for a new Call of Duty and maybe for more. In short, there will be no shortage of games, also considering the other publishers.
As you will know Gear of War: E-Day is a prequel which tells the facts before the first Gears of War. The protagonists will be Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago, the two most beloved characters of the series.
According to Warren, Gear of War: E-Day should be released before Fable, which does not yet have a release date but which his sources indicate will arrive in the October – December 2025 period, i.e. the Christmas period. So it could be expected in the fall.
We reiterate that for now this is information written with the pen of Todd Howard, to use an effective metaphor, namely that in the meantime plans can change. With triple A teams, slippages always have to be taken into account… also because 2025 seems to be a year truly full of releases and something could be moved to avoid traffic jams.
