The Olympic gold medalist of the slalom Noel Clement is eleventh after the first run of the men’s slalom in Garmisch. Surprisingly, Swiss Tanguy Nef takes the lead: he started with bib number 25 and finished (7/100) in front of Henrik Kristoffersen. Another penny is Swiss Loic Meillard.
There are 7 other athletes in a second from Kristoffersen: the closest to the top are Daniel Yule (third at 47/100) and Manuel Feller (fourth at 49/100). Then Strasser (at 57/100), Simonet (at 82/100), Pinturault (at 89/100), Strolz (at 1 ”02) and Schwarz (at 1” 07). The blues are out of 10, but not far from the podium.

The best of the Italians is Tommaso Sala, 15th at 1 “32, then in 18th place is Gross (at 1” 55), in 21st place is Giuliano Razzoli (at 1 “59), by 10 cents faster than Alex Vinatzer. Outside Maurberger and Liberatore.
Out Braathen and Foss-Solevaag, both winners in this very open season in which no one has managed to win more than one race and with 14 different athletes on the podium.
