During our nightly YouTube searches, we occasionally bump into a gem. Sometimes the audio and picture quality is not quite what we are used to today, but we look through that with a smile and we hope the same from you.
We just can’t get enough of flat track, so we’re happy to throw in another cool video that oozes seventies vibes. On the San Jose Half Mile, we see a “tuxedo” Gene Romero who can score a few wins in 1971, but not enough to keep Dick Mann from his second AMA Grand National title. Mann had already won his first championship in 1963 and also won the Daytona 200 in 1970 and 1971. By the way, there is a fantastic documentary about Dick Mann, who passed away last year, which you might see in this section soon…
