Former world-class footballer Frank Lampard will be the new coach of English second division club Coventry City. The 106-time England international has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract. Lampard will make his debut on Saturday in the home game against Cardiff.
The 46-year-old began his professional coaching career at Derby County and then returned to Chelsea FC in London, where he celebrated his greatest successes as a player, including the triumph in the Champions League in 2012. Lampard coached Everton FC from 2022 to 2023 , before returning to Chelsea as interim coach.
