France Keeping the price of Patong at 29 cents infuriates France: ‘Shameful’

Bakers, farmers and millers are appalled by the decision of the supermarket chain.

In France The decision of a large supermarket chain to keep Patong’s price at 29 cents has sparked rage in many, the news agency AFP said.

The Leclerc chain said in an ad published on Tuesday that “inflation could push up the price of Patong significantly. We cannot accept this. ” The chain announced that it is ready to sell the products at a loss.

Ad has angered representatives of bakers, farmers and millers who issued a joint statement on the matter. According to the statement, the price of Patong has risen to 90 cents due to rising prices for flour, electricity and labor.

“Just as the government and all of our professionals are working to pay fair compensation to farmers, Leclerc is launching a campaign that will destroy this,” the statement says.

“We try to maintain jobs and [tuotteiden] quality, which of course costs money, ”said ANMF, which represents millers Jean-Francois Loiseau To AFP.

“We need to pay people a decent wage, that is, those who plant, harvest crops and grain, and those who make flour and bread. Leclerc’s actions are shameful. ”

Farmers Director of the Representative FNSEA Christiane Lambert in turn, wondered how a large chain could guarantee a decent livelihood for its Patong suppliers. “Mr. Leclerc needs to explain to us how and how much he pays his bakers,” given the low prices of the products.

“In a situation where [kaiken mahdollisen] prices are rising and will continue to rise in the future, we want to send a message to our customers that Leclerc keeps its prices reasonable, ”the chain’s CEO Michel-Édouard Leclerc told Capital.

“Industry players need to accept that Leclerc’s stores have power in their customer relationships.”
