MILAN (24 January 2023) – Today Square Enix Ltd. announced that the highly anticipated debut title from studio Luminous Productions, Forspoken, is now available worldwide on PlayStation®5 (PS5™) and PC (on STEAM®, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store). In this narrative RPG, you’ll be able to do some amazing things as you use magical parkour and a huge array of spells and abilities to save the land of Athia.

In Forspoken, you play as Frey Holland, a young woman who has been mysteriously transported to Athia, a fantastical land ravaged by a force known as the Ruin. After surviving this strange phenomenon, and armed with a sentient magical bracelet named Cuff, Frey will be Athia’s last hope, and she must harness her new magical abilities to save this land and find her way home.
Forspoken includes incredible performances from an all-star cast of actors, such as Ella Balinska (Run Sweetheart Run) as the protagonist Frey Holland, Jonathan Cake (Star Wars: The Old Republic) as the magical bracelet Cuff, Pollyanna McIntosh (series The Walking Dead), Janina Gavankar (The Morning Show) and Claudia Black (Uncharted: The Lost Legacy) in the roles of the Tanthas, or the crazed witches who govern Athia, as well as the collaboration of Monica Barbaro (Top Gun Maverick) and Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman).
“We are very excited to celebrate the release of Forspoken, and delighted that players can finally play Frey’s story. The development team and everyone involved worked hard to bring the idea to life Forspoken, and we can’t wait to see the reactions of the fans. We hope players will empathize with Frey as they discover the mysterious world of Athia and continue this magical journey with her.” said Takeshi Aramaki.
The DLC Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust will be out in the next few months. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition digitally will receive early access to the prequel DLC as it becomes available.
