The 19thto edition of Formula SAE Italy it ended on sunday September 8, 2024 with the closing ceremony. The event, organized by ANFIA in collaboration with SAE International and the“R. Paletti” Racetrack of Varano de’ Melegariand with the main sponsorship of Iveco Group, saw the participation of approximately 1,600 students from 17 countries. In total, they competed 63 teamsof which 50 European (21 Italians from 18 different universities) and 9 non-European.

In the Class 1CV (internal combustion engine vehicles), More Modena Racing Hybrid of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia obtained first place, having excelled in all the tests and winning the Business Presentation Event, the Design Event, the Endurance and the Autocross of Class 1C. The second place went to Aixtreme Racing by UAS Aachenwith a simple but effective car, while third place went to the team Fuf Racing Team of Frederick University.
In the Class 1EV (electric cars) has triumphed FS Team Tallinn from Tallinn UT/UASwinning the Cost Event, the Design Event and achieving excellent performances in Endurance and Autocross. Joanneum Racing Graz by UAS Graz placed second, while third place was won by TU Graz Racing Team from Graz University of Technologywhich shone for the sophisticated aerodynamics of its car.
In the Class 3the team UniBo Motorsport Hybrid of the University of Bologna won with a promising hybrid car project. Second place went to theAAM Driverless Racing Team of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, followed by Salento Racing Team of the University of Salento in third position.
In the Class 1DV (Driverless), eForce Prague Formula of the Czech Technical University won the first prize thanks to excellent results in the Acceleration and Autocross tests, also completing the Trackdrive. FS Team Tallinn from Tallinn UT/UAS came in second, showing good potential but with an autonomous driving system still under development. Third place went to UniNa Corse – Racing Team of the University of Naples Federico II.
Formula SAE Italy 2024 Endurance test
In the Endurance testwhich evaluates the overall performance of the cars on a route of approximately 22 km, the team More Modena Racing Hybrid of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia won in the Class 1CVfollowed by Aixtreme Racing of UAS Aachen and FUF Racing Team of Frederick University.
In the Class 1EV, FS Team Tallinn from Tallinn TU/UAS took first place thanks to the excellent performance of the car, with Joanneum Racing Graz by UAS Graz in second place and WHZ Racing Team from Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau in third.
In the Class 1DVwhere the took place Track drive instead of Endurance, the first prize went to eForce Prague Formula of the Czech Technical University in Prague.

In the Business Presentation EventFS Team Tallinn from Tallinn TU/UAS won Class 1DV, followed by Firenze Race Team from the University of Florence and UniNa Corse from the University of Naples Federico II. In Class 1EV, first prize went to ISC FS Racing Team from ICAI | Comillas Pontifical University, with Dynamics eV from OTH Regensburg and Joanneum Racing Graz in second and third place. In Class 1CV, MoRe Modena Racing Hybrid from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia came first, followed by Bengawan Formula Student Team UNS and Sapienza Corse.
In the Design EventFS Team Tallinn from Tallinn TU/UAS won in Class 1DV, with eForce Prague Formula and UniNa Corse in second and third place. In Class 1EV, FS Team Tallinn took first place, followed by TU Graz Racing Team and eForce Prague Formula. In Class 1CV, MoRe Modena Racing Hybrid was first, with Aixtreme Racing and Sapienza Corse in second and third place.
Special prizes were also awarded:
- Dallara Award for the best Car/Resources balance to FS Team Tallinn from Tallinn TU/UAS.
- Ferrari SpA awarded MoRe Modena Racing Hybrid and FS Team Tallinn for their Endurance & Efficiency performances.
- FEV eXaV Award to UniBo Motorsport Electric of the University of Bologna for the strategies of the e-PWT system.
- Geico Top Coating Award to Joanneum Racing Graz of UAS Graz for material processing.
- Magna The Most Digital Engineering to HAWKS Racing eV from HAW Hamburg for the detailed digital twin.
- Marelli Performance and Inclusion in Sustainable Practices to the Florence Race Team of the University of Florence for their commitment to sustainability.
- Podium Advanced Technologies Best Battery Award to UniBo Motorsport Electric for the innovative battery design.
- SKF Sustainability at 360 degrees to UniTS Racing Team of the University of Trieste for its approach to sustainability.
- Teoresi Group awarded E-Agle Trento Racing Team for the innovative electronic development process.
- Best social networker has been awarded to Muhammad Anas Rabbani of HAWKS Racing eV for the activity on the FSAE Italy 2024 app.
