Which teams will be featured in Drive to Survive season 4?
All 10 F1 teams have once again signed up to take part in the fourth season of Drive to Survive, allowing TV crews to go behind the scenes and get into their race weekend operations throughout the year. For the first season of Drive to Survive, released in 2019, both Ferrari and Mercedes have chosen not to take part in the series. But since season 2, the series has featured the full range of teams.

What races will be included in Drive to Survive season 4?
The Netflix crew was in attendance for all 22 races of the 2021 season, which was the longest in F1 history, extending from March to mid-December. The new season begins with pre-season testing in Bahrain, and ends with the dramatic and controversial end of the year in Abu Dhabi when the championship has been decided.
Why won’t Max Verstappen be in Drive to Survive season 4?
World champion Max Verstappen will not appear directly in Drive to Survive season 4 after revealing last year that he did not want to take part in the series. “For my part, as a driver, I don’t like being a part of it,” Verstappen said in an interview with The Associated Press last year. “They simulated some rivalries that don’t really exist. So I decided not to be a part of it and I didn’t give interviews after this, because then there is nothing that can be shown.” Although Verstappen’s footage is used throughout the series as it covers his championship year, most of the interviews related to his success are conducted with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.

But Netflix’s cameras were already in the paddock during the first pre-season test in Barcelona. McLaren driver Lando Norris even posted a video on TikTok, saying, “Welcome to Drive to Survive Season 5”. It’s an encouraging sign that Drive to Survive will likely continue beyond this year.
