Singapore.- Spanish Carlos Sainz Ferrari, who finished third this Sunday in the Singapore Grand Prix, the seventeenth in the World Championship Formula 1, stated at the Marina Bay circuit, that he “can’t” “be happy, not at all” with this result; but that this Sunday “simply had no rhythm.”
“I can’t be happy, I think I could have put more pressure on him, along with Charles (Leclerc, his Monegasque teammate), on ‘Checo’ (Pérez, Mexican, from Red Bull, winner of the race); and having been both up there arguing about the victory”, answered the rider from Madrid, on Sunday at the official press conference of the FIA which took place at the Marina Bay circuit.
“But today I didn’t have the rhythm, simply, although I’m not happy, not at all”, commented the Spaniard from ferrarinonconformist, after signing the fourteenth podium in Formula 1, the eighth of the season, in which he achieved his first victory in the premier class, by winning the British Grand Prix at Silverstone (England).
“Normally I am fast in these types of conditions and I run good races; although there was also a moment when I had to calm down a bit, because it wasn’t worth taking unnecessary risks and making a mistake, given the conditions the track was in,” he explained. sainzwho is fifth in the World Cup, with 202 points, just one behind the Englishman George Russell of Mercedes.
