First lady, former minister (and now elected senator) and congressmen participate in events to ask Bolsonaro for votes
First lady Michelle Bolsonaro and former minister-elect senator Damares Alves (Republicans-DF) participated this Tuesday (11.Oct.20220) in events in the North region to campaign on behalf of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the 2nd round. The trip is part of the parallel campaign and pilgrimage across the country initiated by the First Lady on Sunday (9.Oct) in favor of her husband’s re-election.
“We are here firm and strong in Manaus working for the reelection of our president”, said Michelle in a video published by the re-elected deputy Bia Kicis (PL-DF). “Here is a women-only van working for our president. Here, people, here the ladies”, said the congresswoman in a recording made inside a van.
Michelle, Damares and Bia Kicis have shared moments of their trip through the North of the country on their profiles on social networks. Watch the video below that compiles some of these moments (13:54):

like the Power 360 showed, Bia Kicis received the mission from Bolsonaro to be one of the interlocutors of his campaign among women and the religious public. She was selected along with other congresswomen to work with Michelle and Damares, who are campaigning strongly with the religious public for Bolsonaro’s re-election.
In the van on the way to one of the appointments in Manaus (AM), in addition to Michelle, Damares and Bia Kicis, there were also:
In a publication on social networks, Celina Leão announced 3 commitments this Tuesday: in Manaus (AM), Rio Branco (AC), Porto Velho (RO). The caravan through the North began on Monday (Oct 10), with a visit by Michelle Bolsonaro to Belém do Pará. In places, the first lady and allies of the government have participated in acts called “Women with Bolsonaro”.
Before, the president’s wife also attended a service on Sunday (9.Oct), in Goiânia. At the religious celebration, she repeated that there is in the country a “spiritual warfare” and cried when remembering the stab suffered by Bolsonaro in 2018. At the time of the attack, she said she had prayed for her husband and had a “celestial anesthesia”.
The trips are also a way of campaigning for allies who are still in the 2nd round, such as the governor Wilson Lima (União Brasil) of Amazonas, and to strengthen ties with those elected, such as the re-elected governor Gladson Cameli (PP-AC), who participated in an event with Michelle in Rio Branco this Tuesday.
In the 1st round, Bolsonaro won in 3 states in the North region (Acre, Rondônia and Roraima). Lula won in the others (Amapá, Amazonas, Pará and Tocantins). In total, Bolsonaro emerged victorious in 13 Federation Units, while Lula won in 14.
In addition to cities in the North region, Michelle should also travel to Piauí on Friday (14.Oct).
