The second match of the Finnish women’s national football team in a high-level four-country tournament in France brought a clear defeat when the reigning European champion knocked out the Helmari 3–0.
Finland lost 0–5 to France in their opening match and will still face Brazil in the tournament on Tuesday.
Holland painted at the opening half Caitlin Dijkstra and Katja Snoeijs. In the early stages of the second half, Snoeijs finished the evening with finals.
Helmarien is 19 years old Vilma Koivisto shared his views on the game on the team’s Instagram page.
The player found a lot to develop in his team’s game when it could be compared to the Dutch game.
“One should hold the ball more, use less tatts, and of course in defensive play, if pressed one by one, they will easily play out of there. Here it is really clear where we need to develop to take points at the European Championships. ”
My own game went very well after the initial difficulties. For Koivisto, the tournament is an important venue.
“Of course I am fighting for the European Championship venue and I want to get to play as much as possible and show on the field what I can and thereby assure the coaches that I will be involved in the European Championships.”
